The vines are being prepared for the growing season. All of the old wood has been removed and pulled off. It seems like the job is never-ending.
There is always another field just behind the one you finished. Between every second row, the last year’s growth is placed, waiting for it to be shredded.
The sap is moving in the vines, but spring is more obvious in blooming plants. Forsythias are a cascade of gold. Likewise the bouquets of daffodils are in the baskets of most shoppers at the open air markets.
Our rosemary is covered in tiny blooms of blue. The apricot tree is just beginning to come into bloom.
With temperatures in the 70s the lawn needs yet another trim today.
